Where and how to attach the "coiled
wire" to the motorcycle varies with its make and model. The rider's
movement when riding also varies. These factors determine the length
of the "coiled wire" and part of the motorcycle where it is to be
fixed. |
The adjusted length of the "coiled wire" depends on the physique of
the rider and the part of the motorcycle where the "coiled wire" is
attached. If the length of the "coiled wire" is too long, the action
of the "Hit Air" will be delayed. If it is too short, it may be accidentally
activated during normal operation of the motorcycle when the rider
stands on the pegs. It is therefore important to adjust the "coiled
wire" to the optimum length.
Temporarily
connect the "coiled wire" to a convenient location on the motorcycle.Loosely
tighten the screws of the loop setter.Stand on the pegs of the motorcycle,
lean forward, backward, left and right to determine the optimum length
for the "coiled wire".
Cut
the green protector tube to the optimum length. This will depend on
where it is anchored tothe frame of the motorcycle or the handlebars
of a scooter.
Slip
the "coiled wire" through the green protector tube. Fix it in the
loop setter, knot the end and cut it, leaving more than 2cm (1 in.)
of extra length. |
Firmly tighten the screws of the loop setter. |
Replace the seat. |
Secure the "coiled wire" to the
strongly-built part of the motorcycle such as the frame which will
sustain a pulling power of more than 30kgs. when the "Hit Air" is
activated. |
When the "coiled wire" is not in
use, place it under the seat or use a "connector holder" (sold separately)
to avoid interference with the rider's movement, or contact with a
heated engine etc. |
Replace the "coiled wire" when wear,
burns, peeling or cracks are found. |
